Vicki, before anything else, you need to check your hard drive for errors. Geoworks Ensemble 2.01 crashed, need help. Maybe it would give the game better play factor. I thought that the Sims would have new functions and things of that nature, like the other expansion packs give them. It looked much better on the Sims2 web site and in the commercial when it came out. My thoughts and recommendations: Honestly I was pretty disappointed by the Sims 2 Holiday Edition game. There is no skipping in the game or delays of any kinds. The sound still clear and the video still pretty vibrant and clear. The sounds and graphics: Obviously these are exactly the same as the original as well. You also get lawn ornaments, house lights and many other decorations for all holidays. The Sims 2 Holiday Edition gives you the option for snow even if you do not have the Seasons expansion pack installed in your game. The children do not open presents and Santa does not come. But again despite what you see on the packaging. You can put up a Christmas tree and dress every Sims of any age in holiday clothing. There are now many Christmas items in your game. Despite the package showing the Easter bunny. You now have Easter items, including a Bunny costume to dress your Sims in. What the game has that is new: There are Halloween decorations, witch out fits, warlock out fits and more along that line. There is really no change in the way you play the game, it just now has more items and stuff of that nature. If you have existing Sims and housing you game will still be saved even though you have now installed the Sims 2 Holiday Edition. In the original game you simply live out life for your Sims.

To play: Well if you have the Sims 2 original then you already know how to play. The game will automatically check for updates. You can do it now, wait or click never register. After that you have to wait about 2-3 minutes for the game to complete the installation process. This can be found on a long white sticker in side of the box that the game comes in. Once you have done that you will be asked for the CD key.

Sims 2 Holiday Edition, those who already own The Sims 2 for PC aren't left out in the cold with this available expansion set. You should install the expansion packs in order. You have the option to custom install the game. To install: Just open the game and insert the CD in to your PC. My six year old daughter plays it, so it certainly is not very challenging. A revised edition of The Sims 2: Holiday Edition was released. Stuff packs are minor expansion packs for The Sims 2 that add new items.

Requirements: You need to have Windows 98 or higher to run this game. It pains me to say this, since as I said the Sims 2 is my favorite game. Now I would not have spent the money if I had known how lousy it actually is.
